Casino Heroes, along with its Japanese equivalent Casitabi, is a truly new kind of online casino that fuses online Role Playing Game (or RPG) elements with the format or a more traditional online casino. Founded by Hero Gaming Limited in 2014, Casino Heroes is a new kid on the block, trying to do something different in the online gambling arena. It is also licenced by the Casino Gaming Authority of Malta, meaning you know your funds and details are held by a well-regulated company.

At Casino Heroes, players must first choose an avatar, from a selection of characters based upon pop culture icons and tropes. Then you level up that character as you take them on an adventure by playing different casino games. These includes slots, lottery games, casino classics and live casino titles.

As you progress and your character travels across their cutesy fantasy ‘world’ players unlock new rewards, from free spins to cash bonuses, tournament entry, real life prizes and more. For those who aren’t bothered about the RPG stylings, they recently unlocked all their games for play regardless of ‘story’ progression – which was good to see.

Casino Heroes’ live game selection is solid, if nothing spectacular. All their games come from one developer, the widely respected Evolution Gaming, so you’re guaranteed a quality experience if not a huge quantity of games. All the usual live casino games are here, from baccarat and blackjack to roulette or 3 card poker. However, many of Evolution’s rarer titles, such as their live croupier roulette in different languages tables or their live streams from actual land based casino floors, are not available.

Still – it’s not a bad selection at Casino Heroes. Evolution always provides a smooth and easy to navigate lobby, so you know exactly what you’re getting. All the games run well on desktop and mobile and you can easily find your favourite Evolution title and jump straight in without having to traverse complex menus or deal with crashes and glitches.

Native Tables/Localisation

Casino Heroes offers Evolution’s live Swedish and German live croupier roulette. Not a huge choice -but seeing as a diverse live casino isn’t their main selling point, it’s decent that they chose to host any at all. And as they’re by Evolution, you at least know the croupiers will be professional, the games are easy to find and they’ll run smoothly.

Their website is available in German, Swedish, Finnish and the standard English. However, like many casino sites, we couldn’t find the language change options on the main page and had to visit the .de or other respective URL to actually access them. Which is disappointing, but nothing game breaking.

Private Tables

As far as we could see, none of Casino Heroes live casino tables are private, with custom branding and offers. But since their site goes to town on the exclusive offers, features and branding anyway – you’re not missing out on a whole lot. Of course there are some interesting routes Casino Heroes could go down with private tables, and there’s a lot of space for them to bring them on-board in the future. Watch this space!

Mobile

As with most live casinos powered by Evolution – all Casino Heroes live casino games work fine on most mobile devices. Some of their RPG elements may make it slower to load on mobile, especially with notifications and rewards during gameplay, however even older models should still be able to run them they as they are not that graphically intense.

Currently Casino Heroes only offers an app for iOS and Apple devices. However, Android questers can access the site through their mobile browser and it still runs fairly well. The site is designed smoothly with mobile play in mind and although some of the flashy full screen effects on the app are missing – the important part is the games, and they run perfectly in browser play mode. No download required!

Casitabi’s banking options were actually quite limited. The full list is: VISA or MasterCard, Neteller, Skrill and Trustly.

All withdrawals and deposits are free and processed within 24 hours – except for cards which may take up to 5 days. This kind of makes up for the small variety on offer, but not quite. We were generally satisfied with the information, given in a clear and concise manner.

However, we found, as with the rest of the site, that some pages were slow to load or gave error message before they loaded at all. For such a slick looking site, this kind of thing happened a bit too often for our liking.
