NOVOMATIC Africa Group Presents New Management

For nearly 23 years, NOVOMATIC has been leading the way in the South-African gaming industry, leaving a strong impact and a track record of success. The regional NOVOMATIC Africa headquarters, situated in Midrand (Johannesburg area), is dedicated to providing top-notch products and services to gaming operators in the casino and LPM-market segments not only in South Africa but also in various other African countries. Additionally, they play a strategic role in overseeing NOVOMATIC’s gaming operations in Eswatini.

After serving as a valuable member of the local Board of Directors for several years, Sonya Nikolova has decided to return to Europe. She will assume a new strategic position in Global Sales at the company’s headquarters in Austria. Her contributions have significantly contributed to the success of the brand in the Southern African region.

Meanwhile, Muriel Loftie-Eaton and Alexander Merwald will continue in their current roles as members of the NOVOMATIC Africa Group’s Board of Directors. In addition, Muriel Loftie-Eaton will take on the role of Managing Director at NOVOMATIC South Africa (PTY) Ltd., focusing exclusively on the South African market.

Joining Muriel Loftie-Eaton and Alexander Merwald as Managing Director of the local Group’s holding company, NOVOMATIC Africa (PTY) Ltd., is Chantel Crossley. Chantel has been with the NOVOMATIC Africa Group since 2022, serving as Head of the Group’s finance department. Her background as a chartered accountant, with degrees from the University of Witwatersrand, and her extensive financial and operational experience in the IT and financial services industries, including working for EOH Mthombo and Deloitte South Africa, both locally and internationally, make her a valuable addition to the team.

Crossley’s expertise in the South African market, along with her management skills and strategic focus, will be instrumental in driving the brand’s continued success in the region. As part of her responsibilities, she will also co-head the Group’s operational company in Eswatini.

Commenting on the new step, Crossley said: “Since joining the NOVOMATIC Group, I have been excited to be part of one of the largest integrated gaming companies in the world. Now, I am looking forward to being able to contribute my personal management expertise and experience on a strategic level to further the growth of the Group in the region.”
